  • Gameplay What an interesting game! Love the idea behind it. The theme implementation is clever. I admire that you managed to make it work RNG. With that said, I think you could have increased the time available and, because of that, make the levels bigger. I also had some problems moving around, because the character moved two spaces with one button press (it is a bit too sensitive in my opinion). About room design: I noticed that a lot of rooms had an entrance one offset from the walls. It would make it easier to get in/out of the rooms if it was connected to the walls (so you can glide along the walls and change rooms). If you could see what object you are currently holding, it would also be great. GDD GDD is well written. I love how you divided the tasks. I would love to see some art mockups. Art The art is simplistic, but fits well with the vibe of the game. I like all the different textures on the circles. I saw that you thought about color blindness. You could solve that by adding numbers/letters on the circles. You could also add different shapes. Sound design The music is superb. You managed to make something that loops well and isn't annoying. Good job on sound effects. Overall, this is a solid gamejam submission. I think it shows real promise. Keep up the good work.

Have you checked that your GDD is publicly accessible ?
Yes

Is your game set to public on itch.io so we can see it?
Yes

Summarize your game!
The game is build on a grid system with rooms branching off of a central lobby. The auxiliary rooms contain items that must be sorted. Each room should have its own item. These rooms do not like duplicates however, as bringing in an item or dropping an item that already exists in the room makes it disappear. You have "only one" minute to sort the rooms. Can you beat the clock and save all the items?

This game supports both keyboard and controller, mouse is not needed.
Keyboard
WSAD or arrow keys for movement
Space bar to pick up and drop items
R to reset the room
Enter to stop the timer
Controller
Joystick for movement
A / Cross to pick up an item
B / Circle to drop an item
Right Bumper to reset the room
Left and Right Trigger to stop the timer

Oh, and one last thing, each game is procedurally generated so no two games may be alike. If you think you can do better on a map spawn there is a reset functionality to restart the room.

Please explain how your game fits the theme.
I feel this fits the theme because the goal is to have only one item per room and you've got only one minute to solve the puzzle. Any duplicates causes some sort of quantum warping and the items in the room and in your hands disappear.

Is there anything you'd like the judges to pay particular attention to?
Item placements and room construction. Building the system that keeps track of all the items was fun and challenging. Depending on RNG there could be a slim chance that a rare fallback item is generated which would be a free point for the player.

A fun puzzle game about quickly sorting items! Could use a graphical overhaul for the items, and the movement could maybe be tweened to be less harsh, but its quite fast and satisfying to get it right! Great work on this jam game

Thank you for your feedback, yea, there is a lot that needs overhauled, but I was doing this solo for the game jam. I have more I want to do with it! Hopefully will make things more clear to the user, like the lobby isn't an end condition room. Again, thank you for your feedback!
