  • The GDD gave me a great understanding of the game before stepping in, the theme interpretation is unique and you can clearly see where the inspiration has helped you develop this game. For a game that you have created over the course of 2 weeks, this is very impressive! The tutorial stages really helped with the initial gameplay allowing me to explore further quicker, which is always a positive in my book. Your usage of music and audio adds a nice subtle level of pressure to the game, which is a really nice touch for a puzzle game. I would love to see a cooldown applied to some of the mechanics, as you can quite easily skip past a few sections of the game by just spamming the spell. I would also have loved to see different designs and ideas integrated into each level to add an additional level of intrigue, but that is definitely something to look to when updating the game. Overall I really enjoyed my time playing this game, great work! Keep it up!

Have you checked that your GDD is publicly accessible ?
Yes

Is your game set to public on itch.io so we can see it?
Yes

Summarize your game!
A basic platformer where you use your one spell "force bolt" in order to navigate to safety.

Please explain how your game fits the theme.
You play a young wizard who has only memorized a single spell: force bolt, and have to use it in various ways to escape.

Is there anything you'd like the judges to pay particular attention to?
You can raise or lower the graphics in the options menu for performance. That was the one hurdle I couldn't clear to my satisfaction before running out of time.

Streamed my review live on twitch

This is a good basic for a 3d speed platformer, can always be expanded with more mechanics, hell even after the jam when you can forego the theme, more movement spells! Great work.

Fun concept. Was able to imagine the game with a bit more polish and a few more assets and jumping through perilous environments as a wizard would be fun. Good job!
