I have downloaded the mac demo, and it simply says app cannot run.  Is it because i'm on a apple chip mac?

I am not sure.  RPG Maker MV and MZ games may not run on Apple Silicon Macs (M1, M2, M3 chips) due to compatibility issues with the underlying engine.

do you know of any workaround?
