Critique of the rating system

I'm not entirely convinced by the rating categories, let me share my opinions:

"Overall" What does this mean? Isn't that the culmination of all other categories? How do you rate something overall?
"Simplicity" Why rate games on simplicity, isn't it more impressive if they are complex and still made in an hour? Is more stars to simplicity good or bad ?

What about categories like, "Audio", "Visual", "Uniqueness", "Enjoyment", things I'd much rather rate these great games by.

In my opinion, the current categories do a disservice to many of the games uploaded.
Now that the jam is almost coming to an end this critique comes a bit too late, but maybe its helpful for the next edition!

Thanks for making a comment about this. Overall is not supposed to be one that you can rate it on. Overall should only show when the rating period ends and that would be the average score of all categories. I will definitely fix that in the next jam. You are also right for the minimalist thing, and I thought I added an enjoyment category. I guess I forgot to add in that category. And I think that Audio might be too hard to add in the hour so that's why you are allowed to use pre-made audio. I will also add a Visual Category too, as well with Uniqueness. Sorry for the bad rating system. This is one of my first game jams that i've made so I am still trying to be a good host.

But it was fun regardless. Thanks for hosting the jam, see you next time!
