There's been some recent concerns expressed about the female MC option. My personal preferences aside, the female MC option is there because I promised it would be there and because long-time supporters want it. Personal preferences not aside, I want it. With that out of the way, lets address the concerns:
A female MC option will take scenes away from the male MC.
There are a couple ways to do multiple protagonists. First is by having exclusive scenes. This would definitely reduce the number of scenes -or double them depending on your cup-half-full viewpoint of life. Second is by duplicating the scenes. Each MC gets the same fixed amount. I haven't decided which I will do yet, probably the latter. So in that case, no, nothing will be taken away from the male MC.
The game will take twice as long to develop and will never finish.
Yes, it will take more time to develop. This game will take a long time anyway. The renders that matter are likely to be only a fraction of the time spent of the overall game. There's just a lot going on outside of the male/female scenes like combat, the story, etc. Besides, I've done this before. Warlord had several variations to many of the scenes. It takes time, but I'll get it done just like I did for Warlord and others.
I can't see myself playing as a female character.
Don't pick the female character.
I hope this clears up any concerns. If you have more concerns, leave them here and not in the review section. Reviews are not for expressing distaste for a flavor. It's like buying a pizza when you don't like pizza and then leaving a review saying you don't like pizza. Don't order the damn pizza if you don't like it. If you don't like female protagonist games, don't play them. You aren't helping anyone out by leaving a review telling everyone that you don't like those games. No one cares.
