Hey,

I have a HUGE project and will not finish in the game jams one month timeline. My question is about progress on my project. Should I be submitting a build at the start, then at the end? Show off how far I have come.  I'm very unlikely to have  sounds or any polish to the game. Just wondering how to best participate.

Thanks!

So I will submit my project at the start for you all  as well as a developer Log that  I will update it at least once a week. It will be in win.exe format with nothing harmful other then my janky code. Expect something before the end of the day. Stay creative out there!

I have just posted a halfway through development log about my project and my progress. Just thought I would continue the conversation with myself and let others know! Stay Creative!

looking forward to see progress! but why dont you make the prototype for the game jam and then after you can focus on the full game?

Ya That's what I'm striving for and at this point, I may not achieve what I set out to do but I wont stop pushing. After Netcode Integration I have a afternoon of work to get the worlds properties all together then  make the worlds dynamically spawn and give player ownership over the created world. That way others can join players on the worlds. Super basic enemy setup. And maybe then it will be a prototype. Can I get that all done in 2 weeks? No clue lol I will clean up and release what I do have working or not at the end. Make it a playable as possible. I appreciate the interest in my project, have a great day!

Sorry for the late reply. As long as you can show progress in your project any submission will be fine. Since there is no money to be won, we encourage you to try the best you can. As long as you have learned anything through the process you are winning in my book.

And yeah, I started a new project for the jam and will definitely not finish in time.

Ok I just updated my game with a "final build" included is a list of my changes / additions. I was unable to submit to the jam again, so this was my only option for a final build one can download and play for the conclusion of the jam.  You will find notes on my games main page as well. I look forward to playing all your games! TTYL
