Seems like we had quite similar ideas for our games :D

The gameplay loop seems fun but the major bugs also noted by other commenters make playing the game really difficult.

I encountered the same problem as Jochem -  it was impossible to tell if the upgrades were working, and the game restarted behind the upgrade screen without me doing anything.

I like the framing, and the basic gameplay is promising and fun already. This definitely has a lot of potential.
