How does the world feel?

It is very unique. I love the aesthetics of thhe forest. Eerie and dark yet simplistic.

How does player movement and camera movement feel

Feels very natural and correct, no issues with the movement.

General things you like?

I think that the game itself is very unique. Reminds me of slenderman a little bit and that sort of genre has always piqued an interest for me.

General things you don't like

The textures do feel very similar I see that the game is still in progress of getting made though so maybe that will change.

Helpful playtesting questions:

 1. How does the world feel?

So far the world feels great, and I'm excited to interact with it more.

2. How does player movement and camera movement feel?

I have no problem with the player movement at the moment, but at the same time, I don't know what your guy's intentions with the movement are.  The jump feels nice in my opinion. I think the camera movement feels odd which might correlate to others not liking the movement that much. I am curious to see why the camera zooms out when jumping but then zooms back in.

3. General things you like?

I liked the way the environment looked and the aesthetic of the game. I also thought the shadows looked really nice.

4. General things you don't like?

I didn't like that I slipped down the hill and was unable to climb the hill again.

5. What do you wish the game did?

I wish there was more variety in the environment such as different plants

The world feels great, and at times I definitely feel that the lighting changed to become much more moody, which felt great as a player.

Player movement felt a bit slow, I pressed every button on my keyboard in an attempt to go faster haha.

I Like the the way the world feels. The speed probably wouldn't be much of an issue for me if the world was smaller.

The physics of stuff. I found the little 3-pillar structure and tried to climb it. I slid up the walls but it always stopped before I ever reached the top :(

I wanted to run into the creature but I had no luck these times. Maybe some info to guide the player a bit would be helpful.

Helpful playtesting questions:
1. How does the world feel?

I liked it! I think that for the feel that your team is going for, the environment was excellent and the lighting was perfect. Definitely gave you the spooky vibe that you're after when you're trying to lay low and avoid enemies.

2. How does player movement and camera movement feel?

Player movement could be a little faster. Right now it feels too slow. If you guys would like, you could incorporate a shift key to run or just make the movement of the player a little faster. As for the camera, it could use some work. It would get stuck behind trees, hills, and objects and just jitter very quickly. It needs some work.

3. General things you like?

I definitely liked the environment and the vibe of the game! Even with only trees, bushes, and a green texture, I was impressed by how well you guys were able to run with just that thanks to your lighting and colors. Particles were a cool warning to the player that something was about to happen.

4. General things you don't like?

Mainly, the character speed was slow and the camera scripting needed some work.

5. What do you wish the game did?

I wish the game had a little more variation to the scene so that it was more interesting to look at. You guys did a great job with the few environment assets you had but maybe just something more would be nice as the player has to run through an expansive amount of space. I would love to hear sound effects, even a simple one like a looping grass track or maybe a hissing sound for the enemies? It felt silent for such a tense game.

6. General reaction/comments?

Great job on what you guys have so far! I'm excited to see the puzzles!

1. How does the world feel?

It feels a little big to me but maybe that's just because of the player speed. The trees and bushes add a lot to it. I'm not sure how much it would impact performance but some smaller grass/flower assets would be really cool to see.

2. How does player movement and camera movement feel?

As I said above player movement feels a little slow but I don't think that's a bad thing. It makes the world feel bigger. I didn't really notice the camera when I was playing which is a good thing. It felt very natural and the speed/leading of the camera felt great.

3. General things you like?

I like the sliding down hills mechanic, I thought that was a good touch. I'm excited to see the puzzles you come up with. I thought the wall that chased you was r a good touch. I didn't notice it at first, so I panicked when it first came around.

4. General things you don't like?

It would be nice to have a little control as you slide down the hill. Not a lot, just a slight bit of control to like strafe as you slide. It seems like the wall monster moves a lot faster than you do, so once it gets close there is no escape. Maybe a short sprint would help give the player an extra chance to get away?

5. What do you wish the game did?

Like I said above, I'm excited to see what puzzles you guys will add.

6. General reaction/comments?

I noticed a bug where you could jump up the sides of the puzzle cylinder. At the top you'll slide down though. I tried to recreate the bug on hills but was unable to.

1. How does the world feel?

It feels alive. The grass is nice, the trees add a lot to the environment and I can't wait to see more from you guys.

2. How does player movement and camera movement feel?

The movement is nice. I like the speed of the character. The jumping has a real nice hangtime that makes it quite enjoyable. The camera is also really nice and I like using the right click to move it.

3. General things you like?

The jumping and speed of the character are the best so far.

4. General things you don't like?

I was unclear on how to evade the large "monster"? But I'm sure that will become more clear as the game progresses.

5. What do you wish the game did?

I can't wait to see the puzzles.

6. General reaction/comments?

The movement again is great, and I hope that the game incorporates it more in the future.
