  • I appreciated the incorporation of worldbuilding here. The tower itself was striking against the desert sky and the game overall had a sort of meditative quality to it. I would have liked to see more of a story or some sort of motivation for this character to be climbing the tower given that this jam is geared towards narrative. That being said, I think you’re got an interesting enough premise to work from if you choose to create further implementations of this game.
  • This entry was intriguing at the beginning, but the sharp difficulty curve combined with the lack of feedback quickly made this a rough experience. I would have loved to hear some voice over on the initial long walk to the tower, some indication of who the protagonist is and why they feel compelled to make such a journey. The tower itself is so stark it invokes the story of Babel before its fall, and its inevitable destruction at mankind's hubris. A backing soundtrack or even some ambient noise would have given welcome atmosphere; hearing the wind sweep over the sand as we arduously trek ever upwards. As it stands too much of this game is left for the player to project onto for me to feel it has much narrative depth. I hope all who make the journey to the top are rewarded for their perseverance - and congratulations to the developer for persevering through the game jam all the way across the threshold.
