Really great use of atmosphere and level design. I just wish it was a full game!
A fun and challenging horror game that achieves the PS1 era gameplay it is going for. I played it 3 times and the third I got all pages but was caught by a monster on the way out.
For someone that has trouble doing anything in the mirror, tank controls with static cameras have always hurt my head, so I'd appreciate alternate control schemes, though I respect the commitment to this style.
While the game is fun and has great atmosphere, having to replay the entire game when losing felt a bit much, and while I did learn the layout quite well from dying a few times I would have liked a checkpoint system, something like returning to the last room, or last collected page would have sufficed.
Still, this is a great little game and worth playing. The static cameras emphasize a sense of claustrophobia, the limited stamina force players to be aware of nearby safe spots, and the overall looks and effects used captured the PS1 era nostalgia.
