Really like the style, simple and clean, however I feel that it loses it's edge without a score system.

The Game was simple yet effective, the choose able characters, although limited was a nice touch and could be brilliant when complete, however I would suggest making the player and enemy sprites more defined, the similar colours made it hard to find my character at times.

My character also became invincible after loosing 1 life.

Love the visuals. After taking damage you remain in the invincibility state which stops you taking any damage.
