  • Wow a character creator in a jam game, very cool! Strong mechanics even if it wasn't completely clear at times what I was supposed to be doing. I think you did a great job and if you added some polish to the aesthetics it could be really impressive.
  • Hihi! Here is the feedback I have for your game: Overall Treasure of the Tribes was an interesting and cute play. I really loved the effort that went into the art, especially the lil blob creatures you encounter :) Not to mention, being able to customize my character with the diverse set of body shapes, skin tones, and hairstyles also was a super nice touch. The Good: - The art - Diverse character creation - Large Areas of exploration! What could use improvement: - Aspect ratio was off when playing - Overall direction on where to go/what to do - Felt a bit slow getting from point A to point B Honestly, considering the time constraints you had when making said game, I'm super happy with the results and would like to congratulate you for the hard work! :) In the event you were to continue this game, I'd surely love some more expansion in terms of narrative direction + the ability to get 'hints' as to where I should potentially go next. Also...mini map? :3
  • Hey! I really loved your game! I thought it was really cute and I love the effort that you put into it! Keep up the hard work! Your team has lots of potential and I can’t wait to see where it goes
  • This was such a cute game! Audio: The music is a cute little bop that I enjoyed while playing. It would have been cool to play different songs when the player moved into a different area. Since the player customization impacts the location they spawn, it could also be cool to have music differentiation with those locations. This would provide some audial diversity to keep players engaged in the different areas. It was helpful to have sound cues for picking up items. Art: I love character customization and I enjoyed the ability to create your own character. When scrolling through the customization options, it would've been nice for the options to return to the beginning once the player views all options available. The little frogs (statues perhaps?) were super cute! It would be cool to add a bit more life to the biomes -- trees in the grassy area, cacti in the desert area, and things like that. That would really amplify the areas and make them unique! Narrative: I really liked the idea of connecting with the various characters in different biomes. While it mentions learning about the inhabitants, it felt as though I was completing errands for them instead of learning more about them and their relics. I would have loved to learn more about the areas they reside in and the characters themselves. Design/Mechanics: I love the idea of exploring various biomes to locate their relics. It would have been helpful to have a mini-map of some sort as navigation was a bit hard to keep track of. Adding some visual variety (ie. more buildings, foliage, etc) may help players navigate the map more. It was a bit hard for me to understand how to actually obtain the relics. One was surrounded by boxes that I could not figure out how to remove/go around. Overall, I really like the concept of this and it's a super cute exploration game! Great job!
  • I loved the simple gameplay and potential for storytelling! You have done a good job capturing the theme, but there is still room to grow. I would love to see you lean more into learning about the different cultures represented in the game. The Music was pleasant to listen to as well. I would also like to see more mechanics, and potentially puzzles, added later on. The art style is charming, and I loved the character creation aspect that you added.
