  • So, I LOVED this. The Aesthetics were top notch mixing voxel and pixel elements in a cohesive way. The genre you chose was a difficult one, and I noticed some issues ending my turn, but the level of polish you managed in such a short time is nothing short of impressive! I think you should be very proud of your accomplishment!
  • Hey there! I loved your game! It was a bit hard to figure out what the controls/intended mechanics were, but overall I love the aesthetics. I think your team has great potential and I can’t wait to see where you guys go!
  • This was so cute!! Audio: The main menu music was really nice and was a good intro to the type of vibe of the game. The button sounds as you move between them were a great touch! I thought the walking sfx was cute as well. While the main menu music had me excited to hear more, I was shocked that there was no in-game music while playing. I would add some ambiance music while the player is exploring/in battle/etc. That would enhance the experience while the player is in the game. Art: I LOVE the mouse changing as you hover over menu options. Such a subtle thing but it really does enhance the experience. I found myself just moving between the buttons just to see it. The aesthetic of the game gave me really big Minecraft vibes and was such a cute choice! Design/Mechanics: I was really impressed by the amount of settings available! It allowed me to curate the game to fit my needs. The fighting mechanic, unfortunately, kept breaking and I couldn't proceed with combat, even after trying to follow the workaround. If that could be fixed, I would love to finish the rest of the game to see more! I'm also not sure I quite understood the correlation between the game and the theme for the jam, however. Would love to learn more as to what your vision was with the game to tie in the jam's theme! Overall, for a first game -- this was such a cute experience! A strong start for your first game and can't wait to see more in the future!
  • Ok. Where do I begin. Just from booting up the game alone, I absolutely LOVED the cute 'bit' graphic, music, and feedback I received from the title screen alone. Not to mention, bit style turned based combat is something I'm a little weak for. Anyways! The good: - Amazing feedback when going through menus - Nice little sign acknowledging current known issues/bugs and proposing a fix - Appealing graphical environment + visuals Could use improvement: - OST for the title screen but no battle ost! :( - Some audio to depict player movement in battle/slime/enemy movement - Perhaps opening up with a battle tutorial/giving the player an option of some form of combat tutorial would be nice Overall I had a lot of fun trying out this game! It was cute as all heck. In the event you were to continue it, I'd recommend honing in on the cool combat style and perhaps adding a bit more audio feedback to the choices players can make. Also...local multiplayer 1v1? Hehehehe Good job!!! :)
  • The game was a lot of fun to play. I loved the look and sound especially. I think once the combat bug is worked out I will equally love the mechanics. I do think the story needs more, and you could use the story to convey the theme of diversity and inclusion better. While there was a lack of music, the charming nature of the SFX kept me entertained. This was a great submission and I can't wait to see where you take it from here!
