Though it had its issues, this was definitely my favorite of the set of three games (and I'm looking forward to more!). There were some bugs, which some have mentioned in the comments so I won't repeat them, and I also think if the move screen was slightly more polished it would look better. Though, the fact that it isn't as polished does give it a kind of charm. There were some grammatical errors in this one, like in the last two games, I would again recommend an editor. The ending bits were abrupt. I would have preferred to see more interactions with the nun Naomi since the series felt like it would focus on a couple of isolated characters, and her having a sprite made me think she would be a bigger part of the story. I think it would have been better if, after the whole sequence in the computer room, we got more information about the picture and how it was tampered with, instead of having to assume what happened to it, even if it is implied. Then, we could have another scene with Naomi, where either Alicia and Beaford explain what happened or we get some sort of reveal as to who the programmer niece was or what exactly Eve is or something more about Naomi. The middle to end felt a bit rushed to be honest. Finally, I also wish we got to spend more time with Eve before the game ended. Anyway, I liked the graphics in this one the most, the sprites were good as always, and I particularly loved the backgrounds. I also think it was a good call to have the setting be a church and would like to see religion explored a bit more in the future, not necessarily theologically but rather morally. How moral is it that they're doing a job predicated on having some religious beliefs or beliefs in the supernatural when they, especially Alicia, aren't religious or believers in anything supernatural? Are they scamming the people that hire them? This has been raised but it's never been taken seriously as a question. I also think having longer games in the future would benefit the story, as mysterious plots with a good premise (an exorcist who doesn't believe in ghosts, her med school drop-out assistant and their maybe sentient AI friend tackling different cases similar to the ones the story has dealt with before) take more time to develop and will feel half-baked if left to be 15-30min long. This could have been a much better game if it were longer and made more use of each given character as well as contained a bit more of a hint to the twist in the end, as it did kind of feel like it came out of nowhere. Because of the interesting concept, good atmosphere, likable characters (which I don't think I've mentioned before, but I love the characterization) and good art, I still give it four stars.
