This game's visuals were definitely my favorite part! I love how the character is designed and the boss fights and their effects looked so slick! The platforming was a bit slippery which added some frustration but dashing and jumping at the right time was satisfying. Nice work!

The music’s great, character’s cute. The dash jump is super fun and finding (some of) the ways you can bypass parts of the first level with it was really very satisfying. I have very low tolerance for slipperiness in platformers when it’s part of the core movement, I kept dying while slipping off of platforms even with low momentum jumps. The start has a bit of a readability issue in figuring out where to go. I made it to the first… boss? once, somehow died in the platforming after (don’t remember how), and then couldn’t make my way back up there for the life of me. Would’ve almost certainly pushed through if there had been a checkpoint along the way..

It looks like there’s a good amount of content here, would definitely be curious to see how the ship parts feel. What I saw was solid overall though, would’ve really loved it with slightly tighter movement control :)

oh thanks for the detailed feedback!

interesting that you somehow died, definitely a bug, it should be impossible to die in any section (you just get a time penalty) - need to take a look at what could cause that.

don’t tell anyone, but there are some cheaty cheats (ctrl + shift + T) will put you at the top of the initial platforming section

completely agree that having the portal to boss be a checkpoint would make a lot of sense

also slippery controls… yeah, I overcooked those a bit, thought it would add to the challenge but probably ended up hurting the fun instead - fair point

Thanks for the tip, didn’t realize there wasn’t much left! Went back and finished it. The ship part is a little confusing in terms of lack of visual feedback that you’re moving vs the boss moving, but it seemed okay. Like the other boss some more visual feedback that you’re damaging it and that it died would be nice, but obviously there’s only so much time.

Also wanted to say so you don’t go hunting for a bug that doesn’t exist, I realized what happened wasn’t that I died, but that I was using a controller and my cats were bugging me so I pressed Start to pause out of muscle memory, but that’s also the restart button (unlisted in the options!). So killed only by my own error 😅
