What did this game do well? (Answer in a few sentences)
1) I like this idea, never played similar game before. 2) The way the enemy moves is relatively fixed, player can get familiar with it, and finally will the game.
It is very creative way to fight the enemies.
This game reminds me of "Get Over It". The way of control is hard but you can still find some fun inside the game after you are familiar with it.
The game is catchy. And it is fun to play
The game page is well-designed. Interaction and sound effects is fun.
The camera shake, sound effects, and ragdoll physics were all really nice effects for adding the game feel. The gameplay was also very fun and it was satisfying to fling heavy balls onto the sprites below.
I like the doll physics of the player with the arms and legs flapping around. The effects when dropping the ball was also satisfying because you can really feel the impact behind it due to the gravity and the screen shake.
It's a fun game and adequately difficult. It took me a while to understand the player movement, drop of the ball, and enemy movement, which i feel matched the theme of the game topic.
Good game design and I can see there is design for skill-depth. Allow player practice and increase their skill.
What could be done better? (Answer in a few sentences)
1) The control of "laugh man" is a bit hard. Sometimes I don't move my mouse, but this guy is still shaking... 2) The two enemies are always in the button part of screen, making player hard to retrieve balls.
Even though the game is meant to be difficult for depth, I think the movement controls was a bit frustrating to play with. It felt a little chaotic when trying to move the player so I think it can be toned down a bit.
Maybe it will be easier to have all key controls. But the current game is interesting.
Since this is quite an innovative way to play the game, maybe the first stage should be easier.
The game could have more other objects show up such as some platform or trap when stages go up.
Not sure if this was intended to make the game more difficult, but sometimes the limbs of the player get tangled, and I am unable to pick up any of the balls. There could also be a health bar or a more clear indicator for the damage the player takes before dying.
Some of the movements were a bit unfair (i.e. the sprites coming from the ceiling and trying to pick up a ball that hard been pushed into a corner.) The color choice for the key presses on the balls could've also been made a bit more distinct visually.
Game feedback is limited . May be add some particles to increase the game feel and Add UI for lives and waves of enemy to provide feedback to the player.
