What did this game do well? (Answer in a few sentences)
Very straightforward and intuitive gameplay. The timer added a nice challenge for the player as they got more coordinated with the controls and the game. The music and sound effects also added a lot of game feel.
It was an interesting take on the Fruit Ninja formula. Good game to test reaction skills. The game had fitting background music.
The sound effects for this game was on point. I really liked the sword slashing sound and the balloons popping sound during the slicing animations. The background music was also fitting for the game.
What could be done better? (Answer in a few sentences)
It would've been nice if the game used arrow key combinations instead of mouse movement. Players using a trackpad would have a harder time getting the right orientation of the sword than player with an external mouse.
I think the UI elements like the timer and the score could've been bigger. It would help the player more so its more noticeable during play without taking attention away from the action.
If the player did not maintain the mouse in a line or tried to hit another rectangle it would not reset the line, breaking the immersion of needing to precisely slice through the circle. With how simple the game is there is not much room for skill depth aside from reaction time. If you were to expand the game you could add more skill depth by making the player need to press the mouse button as they sliced or change the location of the circle so that players need to both slice in the right direction and in the right location.
