  • Good solid gameplay, my advice would be to clean up the loop, after victory, you should go back to the menu, not exit the game. And work out some way of balancing the game so there is some element of skill involved.
  • I played a few games but it was hard for me to understand the purpose of the game. There is no tutorial and not real feedback on what is going on. I was not sure if I was winning or loosing. Maybe with a few explanations the concept can be good and the experience better.
  • Good idea for a little game, but the issues make it difficult to enjoy. These issues include the camera not moving, so sometimes you can't see the enemy castle. Personally I would have left the original view, which depicted the entire world. I encountered a bug where I placed the castle, but the attacks all went to a different tile, and my soldiers were spawned from this other tile (not the castle) too. Suggestions: Have the soldiers fight each other enroute. rather than just taking a swing at each other and continuing on. Also have the exit button reload the menu scene rather than fully closing the game.
  • This is a good basis for a game, some areas to look at improving upon would be: 1. For a game like this, it can be best for you and the player, to have multiple difficulty options. That way, you're not trying to balance 1 game for different skill levels, and allows you to reach a larger audience. 2. It was good to see UI elements in the menus, but also look at adding them for the units and especially the bases. That way you can see what health you're at when deciding what to do. 3. Think about adding descriptions for the units, so that people can see the health/damage comparison and decide where to spend their gems. 4. Change Exit to Replay or Menu. You want to make it easy for people to keep playing. I know its not easy making your own game and coming up with all the ideas on your own, especially in a short time frame. You should be proud of what you've achieved, great job!
  • The next important improvement for the project would be focusing on the units fighting each other, preferably with clear visual and audio feedback of the gameplay events.
