• The chosen design is very simple and similar to the starter project. Still, the planned feature set was not completed until submission. Even when sticking with the simple design there was a lot of room to improve the project with polish, such as improved graphics, animations, audio, and VFX. Together with some introductions on how to play these areas could have greatly improved the game feel. e.g. animating the rotation of the circles would improve the feedback and understanding of the controls. Some VFX or animations when checking the solution for a ring would provide valuable feedback to the player and make their action feel more impactful. Overall the progress on this project is less than what I would expect from a junior applicant in 60h time of work. If the participant was unable to put the intended amount of time into the project, they did not mention it.
• It's great to see that you're thinking about making code which can be reused if you want to add more rings into the level. It's also good that you started out with a simple game loop and didn't try to create something too complicated. The result is a small game that is fun to play!
