  • Contestant: Alex Tully / @AlexTully25 Assessor: Tristan McGuire / @Draconic_Cowboy Tier: Search For A Star Congrats on completing your project! Things that went well: ✧ Good to see some initial research done into other media, as well as research into technical and artistic topics throughout. ✧ The thought put into the colour zones of the body is good. Things to consider next time: ✧ At the high poly stage, make sure to reference images of real human muscles, so that the sculpt looks believable and not too much like an approximation. ✧ For game models, it is essential to learn to retopologise and UV unwrap by hand so that you can optimise the tri count and use of UV space. ✧ In the texturing stage, try to make your choices of colour more believable, for example, the bright red for the blood doesn’t read well as being blood and comes across just like a red splotch. ✧ Make sure to aim to present models in a game-ready state in a realtime renderer. I hope this feedback proves useful and will help you with future projects and building your portfolio. You can find me on the social medias in the link below. Feel free to reach out in the future. All the best! https://draconic-cowboy.carrd.co/ - Tristan, Character Artist at Airship Interactive.
