I agree with you on the confusion around when you could chain enemies. Your intuition was right, I did make it so you could not chain enemies when they were already chained. However, the lack of mentioning this in the tutorial leads to a worse game experience. That and the combination of some bugs around enemy size leads to frustration.
Great comment about the pixel art! I will need to remember this for my next game: I should be drawing out the rotation of the pixel art rather than manually rotating it.
