  • Documentation

The documentation was limited in discussion, and very short. While I appreciate the graphic design element, the sideways titles, combined with no formalised ordering or index made it difficult to reason about what content I was actually looking at.

    Game

The initial presentation of the game was beautiful: the logo is superb, the theme absolutely spot-on. I disliked the fact that the exit button wasn't labelled clearly (and instead tried to make a play on the title - incredibly frustrating). The game's premise is simple, but doesn't deliver very interesting game mechanics. While I appreciate that simple is sometimes best, it lacks depth.

I initially thought it might be a tron-esque game where you can block off your opponent, but your opponent can simply change the colour of the square by standing on it. This leaves almost no space for tactics because it is possible to mirror your opponents moves without being penalised.

  • Simple design, very well executed and presented.  Need to add more features to expand on gameplay, add multiple gamepads support.  UI/Assets are of a decent quality with inclusion of sfx.
  • Really sorry, but I've run out of time to write full reviews.

This game was quite polished, fun and knows what it is so I've scored highly.

Nice style. Considered design choices such as custom camera.

    Enjoyed it.

  • Feedback

I played your game and it was certainly different to what I have seen so far, simplistic but very functional.  It appears to focus a lot on the comical and UI side rather than gameplay mechanics which I found worked very well, the changing of expressions on the capsules faces and the use of music and sound effects was very humorous.  I did have a minor issue when the scoring system was done, occasionally when moving blue or red if the capsule was to go into the water or lose, that capsule got the point (if blue fell in the water, blue got a point) or if both fell at the same time I think the programming has issues figuring out who won what.  However this did not occur often so it is a minor issue.

Sadly I could not see any documentation to follow with your game development, for a game like this it is really important to back it up with proof of game development stages and screenshots.  The game is very good but without it how will you prove you actually made it to potential stockholders or investors?  Paperwork can take some time to compile but is critical to write and submit.

    Summary

I found this game very entertaining, although simple in its mechanic it compensated well with its humour and functionality of just gaining cube space to win.  There is certainly room for improvement but then again there always will be in game development.  As a YouTuber and game developer myself we consider it a pleasure to try your games and I am pleased to have had the opportunity to try your game.

    Thank you.
