What would you like feedback on?
The game loop mostly, if the increasing scale feels good

What did you update?
Fixed a few bugs, especifically the tutorial/menu going offscreen depending on player's screen size/resolution, game breaking when loading new regions in the late stages (game losing too quickly) and an improved zoom that tries to focus on where the mouse is.

Name of updated upload (if downloadable)
It's the WebGL version

Hey! Nice game, a few of my thoughts
1) Forgive me if it is just me, but I could not understand the conditions on how many computers I can connect to each other. Sometimes it allowed me to connect multiple, sometimes not.

2) You should add possibility to skip the tutorial

3) Sometimes it is not clear that connection is bugged, maybe adding more indication will help that.

4) I was so zoomed in that I did not see that new computers appeared, maybe some sort of arrow?

5) I could not zoom in fast enough when new region unlocked. It seems to me that this "be fast or die" can be improved. One idea - player will not lose health while connection is bugged, but if connection is not fixed fast enough computers can go offline. If you reach N offline computers  - game ends (Too many dissatisfied customers). Just a thought though.

Hello there!

1) Oh, the idea is that if they are more than 5 units of distance, the new link changes color to show it is not possible, so you can and should connect as many computers as possible, as long as they are close enough.

2) It is possible already, through the settings menu.

3) I'll work on that! I was thinking maybe adding some ballon with an alert nearby, or maybe making the connection "broken", sort of like two plugs far apart.

4) Neat, currently I just change the "wifi waves" on regions to red in order to show there's a buggy connection in that region, but I can think of some other alerts to indicate new machines.

5) It's a nice idea! At first, that health bar was supposed to be a "general internet satisfaction meter" and it would involve many parameters, such as bugged connections, computers able to send all the data they had, expectations of a bigger network through time... but it got a bit too unwieldy for a jam game so I made it just about bugged links and non-connected computers.

Thank you so much for the feedback!

Right now the game is really hard for me, not sure if its just my lack of skill or the game itself. One thing I would recommend is making the connection happen without having to click the other node, just drag and drop. An option to skip that intro with the phone would also be nice. Good luck!

Thanks for playing!

I think I can work on that drag and drop idea! My plan initially was to show a set of options whenever you clicked an element, be it a link or computer. Though I didn't get much time to implement that so it ended up being one action only each click.

Oh, regarding the tutorial, in the settings menu you can enable/disable it!

I really enjoyed playing this.

Although I didn't realise you could make multiple connections.

I only realised when I saw the screenshot!

So I sat there getting a really high score with minimal connections.

If I had started losing score I would have realised you needed to make more connections, so maybe make sure the player can't get maximum score with minimum connections.

When I played a second time and the map zoomed out, I couldn't zoom in fast enough so my score went to 0.

I think you should let the player have a bit of grace while they zoom in and get ready to go again.

Oh and a tiny visual thing but I would suggest you let the player zoom in, as I found clicking the network lines difficult, they are very thin.

Overall I enjoyed it and hope you keep developing! :)

Thank you for playing!

Oh, the idea is to connect as many to computers as possible. Currently you can only connect if they are at most 5 units of distance apart, when the distance is bigger the link changes color to show it's not possible (although maybe it is too subtle).

When you zoom out,  the "wifi waves" in the regions indicate there's a bug by turning red, but yeah zooming can be a tad difficult. But I enjoy the idea of giving some grace while zooming, perhaps making time pass waaaay slower during zooms? I'll look into it!

Thanks once again!
