The art and mechanics are very nice!

If I were to give some constructive criticism it would be to add a tutorial at the beginning of the game, to add sound and music throughout the levels, and to have the player not have friction when holding a movement key into a wall (as shown here).

Other than that this game is very visually nice and with a little more polish could be lots more fun!

This is my first try to make a platform game and this problem

with player from sticking to edge were annoying to resolve!

Remember that its perfectly ok to copy someone else's code as long as you figure out how it works.
Also to fix the tilemap having gaps in it, make sure you put your tilemap sprites into a sprite atlas.
