- A literal idea for the concept. It was very fun and enjoyable. The upgrades were a bit hard to read, having them pop up in between the levels for choice may be a bit easier. There wasn't a lot of time between rounds to pick. Balancing always takes time, I was pretty high level and had so much left over materials that were not needed. So that would be an idea to lean into making upgrades cost move over time. The idea, art, and style were all very good. Breaking up sounds so the have different level tones could help break up the repeating sounds. GDD was alright, there layout was good, but having more explanation never hurts. Telling now sprites are made the ideas for those and so on are good for judges to read into what you are making. With more level ideas and more enemies this could easily grow into something more. Great Job!

Yes
Summarise your game!
As the spirit of a forge smithy you couldn't just put the hammer down. Weapons you control are being upgraded and that makes the other weapons jealous. Jealous enough to destroy your forge. Now you must fight to protect your craft, upgrade your weapon to fend off waves of enemies. How long can you last?
Controls are WASD and Arrow Keys along with the 1-5 buttons at the top of the keyboard.
You must hold the 1-4 keys for upgrades and you cannot attack while you are upgrading.
Please explain how your game fits the theme:
The theme is "You Are The Weapon" and we took that literally in that your spirit takes over a weapon in a smithy. You cannot attack while upgrading because the forge smith spirit needs to leave the weapon to do the upgrade.
Is there anything you'd like the judges to pay particular attention to?
Is the playstyle fun? Is it too much on the screen?
Thank you for your time!
