  • GDD Clearly laid out, easy to read through and understand. Inspirational imagery and mechanics information made the intended game experience very apparent. Theme interpretation well thought out. The game itself is simple but fun. There's a lot of room here for further development and expansion with additional levels and powers/attack styles for the main character. Things noticed while playing: - The eyes on the missile are adorable and I really enjoy the asthetic of a cartoon missile as a PC. - The use of color on the body of the missile to indicate the attack cooldown is a nice touch. Clear without being UI clutter. - In-game it is not made clear that the UFO projectiles can be reflected. - Credits and How-To-Play menus will open at the same time and stack on top of each other. - A simple pause feature would be a very nice QoL addition. - A healthbar or other indication of damage the boss has taken would be another nice addition down the line.

Summarise your game!
You play as a missile that drills through enemies and rocky debris in space. You can even deflect enemy projectiles this way! Your role is to make it through enemy lines to attack the end boss!

Keyboard/Mouse:

Arrow Keys/WASD Keys to Move
Space or M1 to Spin!

Controller:

Control stick to Move
A Button (Xbox) to Spin!

Mind the cooldown period while the missile is blue after spinning! You can also attack grey asteroid pieces for extra points.

Please explain how your game fits the theme:
We decided to take a quite literal approach to the theme of "You Are the Weapon" by placing the player into the role of an actual missile. Not only are you the missile, but the only way to attack anything is by using your own self as the weapon!

Is there anything you'd like the judges to pay particular attention to?
This is our programmer's first run-through with Godot, and as such, any feedback that could be provided on things to look out for in future would be appreciated, if applicable. Outside of that, please make sure to click inside of the game when playing! For reasons we cannot discern, sound will not play unless the window is considered active.
