  • I found the game running smoothly. The art style was great and very pleasant to watch. The music fit the game really well. The boss mechanics were nice and easy to understand. However, I feel the Alchemy theme could have been incorporated a bit more. Awesome job on the game! I look forward to seeing what you create for the next Jam!
  • I love the idea of this game! It has a great foundation. It's a very cool interpretation of the theme and is very well executed for the time frame! I really enjoyed dodging the flying objects! Constructive criticism: Add a tutorial for how to play the game with prompts in game Add upgrades in the game Make shorter levels to start with that build up
  • The game plays really well and takes a bit of thinking to play well. I wouldve wished for a starting screen and maybe some slightly better instructions in game. The Shadow theme is understandable but not that in depth. Some back story to it may fit nice. I personally think the concept is really nice and a fun twist to a fairly simple bullet hell game. The Art style, while simple, is perfect for the games concept, both the main art and the background. maybe the player character could be a calligraphy brush (or its stroke) to fit into the rest of the art a bit better. The slight alteration of the music used is a nice touch. Pretty fun to play.

A bullet hell where weaving through bullets is how you attack the enemy! The alchemy themed inspired me to make a game where the player can convert the enemy attack back into them.

In this game - you can press space to enter time freeze and draw a circle around bullets, all bullets in the circle will be used to damage the boss! (the tutorial is a little finnicky so you might need couple tries)

Extra Notes
Like usual bullet hells, players would have to weave through a barrage of bullets from the boss. Except in Inkshadow, players are given a 5 second window to freeze time and weave through bullets to try to ‘circle’ bullets by drawing a path around them.

This game has taught me I'm not too great at bullet hells.
But at least I got to have a lot of fun and listen to a dang good soundtrack while eventually getting to that win screen!

Love the concept and the mechanic was very enjoyable. Style for art and music were all solid! I hope you choose to continue with this idea, it has a lot of potential. Could definitely see it expanding with unique enemy attack patterns and some extra mechanics for you as the player (like maybe an item to speed you up temporarily or re-heal your time stop bar).

Nice job!
