- Nice start on the game, my main suggestion would be to invest time into an in-game tutorial. For a new player, it's unclear what I should do other than wandering around and placing traps. The "Tell us about your game!" section that you filled out on itch.io would be a good start to an in-game tutorial. Show the player what the lantern light is used for, and what their objective is for each level. It's unclear what the red dots mean :) As a team of two (?) people, at least one of which has never made a game before, you've done a great job and should be proud of what you've accomplished!
Did you include your Game Design Document as a Google Drive link?

For now, the shade picks one of the 3 types of lantern light to hate and spawns on the opposite side of the dungeon from you. 1-3 on the number keys above WASD selects the element of light. Hitting shift will plant a trap using that chosen Element. The shade will wander at random unless the player gets close and causes it to hunt. The shade is invisible unless the correct element is active, in which case, the shade will run from the light if it gets spotted by The Alchemist. Right now there's no limits to how many traps you can set.
The story involves our one-armed alchemist needing to descend into the depths of the catacombs to find the source of the shades and other monsters.
In future, both lantern and traps are planned to be on consumable and limited resources.
Extra Notes
Not exactly sure where you wanted the google doc link, but it's here and also on the itch.io page: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1o_0SeSijJ-50a77OaNgSfSxYvQVAf0FnULDVRWMjq-o/edit?usp=sharing
Also, while we technically had 4 team members, all the coding work was done by one person and art from our brainstorms was the inspiration for the premise. Also, the protagonist has one arm. Canonically. 'cause we said so.

I only choosed a random game... Congrats on your submission! I don't know what to do on the stairs.
Thanks! Congrats to you as well! The stairs would be the entrance to the next level, but since this is just a demo/proof of concept that's the end. But thank you for trying it out!
