The game is a puzzle platformer based on perspective. A 3d character projects shadows with a light from their eyes to a 2d character on a far wall outside the 3d character's glass cell. These shadows become platforms for the 2d character in platformer style gameplay. Both players are constantly active at the same time, no matter which view is being looked at, so the controls are fluid (disregarding the extra notes).

Extra Notes
The biggest hurdle besides some obvious things (both me and my partner are programmers/designers first, artists 10th) was figuring out the "3D Shadow -> 2D Collision" logic. Unfortunately most solutions seemed to involve using shaders in ways that just weren't possible for Web (at least in Godot, which we were comfortable with but still looking to learn more about). While a solution was found that works "ok" for me, I also have a MONSTER PC, and I've been told by someone else that it unfortunately runs slow for them. Suffice to say, while the game technically works, it is currently not efficient for Web (and I don't believe it really can be, at least not with my current knowledge/skillset). So... my deepest apologies that I couldn't get it to work efficiently, as I love this concept, but I don't believe I've done it justice.

Also, JUST IN CASE because you did mention it twice in this form alone... here's a link to the design document. Just so it's available in multiple places.
