- This game does feel unfinished, I would highly reccomend adding a tutorial in to explain the mechanics you have implemented as I was fumbling around and couldn't really get anywhere during my experience. Your vision for the game is interesting though and I encourage you to keep working on it, and to do more jams in the future!

You are a newly born Shade within a newly born tree within a world of light. You wish to take the light for yourself as you explore this new world. The prototype takes place within the seed of said tree. As you are a shade you have shadow movement abilities that allow you to climb up walls and ceilings. In my opinion, the most fun part of the game is the movement. There are some tough spots to reach but with some cool, originally unintended mechanics, you can reach just about everything.
Unfortunately, I did not have time to implement the alchemy system as much as intended myself. However, the foundation is there, you can collect sparks and use them to brew a potion of light using the different colored sparks you collect. With the system, you will explore the tree to find different sparks, cores, and blueprints. The blueprints will tell you how many sparks and cores to use to gain different enemies' abilities. Then it is your job to collect those and gain new fun abilities!
Extra Notes
I was planning to work on this game with a partner but they flaked last second so I did what I could myself.
