  • Critiques up front: - The music abruptly stopped. - There were a ton of objects in the game that looked like you could interact with them, but couldn't. - I had no idea what I was supposed to be doing. To mitigate this, you ought to have some sort of small tutorial as a proof of concept for your mechanics and to reward the player for working within those boundaries. - The theme didn't play out in the game at all. The art was nice. While the music was playing, it was pretty neat and engaging. The environment looked pretty cool. Keep at it. I'm certain you all can knock it out of the park next time!

This was the first game jam/game design for all members of my team, we started late and had many ideas which didn't make the prototype version.

This game is supposed to be dark and have a tight field of view, utilizing an inventory/item system as a baseline for item mixing and crafting via alchemy. The creations would then be used to solve the puzzles, allowing the player to proceed. We also spent some time writing story elements that we really wanted to make the final cut, but we ran out of time.
