  • The music and sound effects helped reinforce the positive feedback loop for the player. It took me a minute to figure out what the arrows were doing. It would have been nice to start off the player in a tutorial area that forced them to match the arrow to the right enemy. A decent submission. I did have fun, and did play it over my allotted time. Hope to see what you have next in the next gamejam!

A top-down arcade shooter where you turn monsters into gold by shooting them with the color matching magic arrows. Collect the gold and give it to the princess to earn score. She seems all too pleased and knowing to watch you do the dance to get the gold, and seems to care little about the peasants caught in the crossfire.

Extra Notes
Just thought I'd put this somewhere but, as is probably true with many others I work a full time job and am a hobbyist game dev, who is forced to be jack of all trades (though I lean heavy on coding and design plus story) but I found your channel recently through a friend (not even a dev lol) and as many have said before and will continue to say the inspiration has been so helpful to hear. I've been trying to push myself to make SOMETHING and just do a jam and some how I ended up doing yours. I wish I figured out my idea earlier in time to make it more complete but I actually pushed past the perfectionist in me and got to submit something that is at least (imo) a little fun. And I had a fun time doing it. So if nothing else, thanks.
