- Playability: Game was very playable, and was very replayable and fun! (and spooky) Theme: The theme is spot on, the shadows and alchemy are included and makes sense. Cleverness: I really liked the alchemy system being a slingshot minigame. I also really liked the riding section, not something you see in every game! I will say, the searching one wasn't very engaging. It was kind of difficult to find what you needed. A way to search for specific resources that you select before you enter would be neat. Artistic Style: 10/10 on the art style and music. I love the bnuyy.

The game is vaguely based on Oregon Trail, along with a mix of other mechanics. Right now though there aren't additional places to go like in Oregon Trail though. Maybe one day!
Controls are easy, WASD, click to shoot, and space for a special move if you have the resources. For the prep mode you click and drag to shoot the item in the opposite direction, sort of like a slingshot.
Also here is the Game Design Document! I put it on the itch page too but I wanted to make sure it was in the right place, and I wasn't sure if I should put it here or there, so I put it both places. c:

cute bunny
What a weird and creative game! The preparation phase seriously made me crack up laughing. At first I didn't realize that I had to keep the bunny fed, I just thought it was a funny way of handling missed ingredients. So when the bunny shoved her face into the pot I lost it. I will say in the search phase of the game, I felt like the areas were too sparse, and I could not find enough ingredients based on the costs of some of the recipes.
However, overall, this game is VERY creative. The riding phase where you are shooting a machine gun like spell at the shadow monsters feels very spooky and exciting. Well done.
