  • A neat little tech demo for the game you were hoping to create. But the game wasn't finished so it's really hard to judge the implementation of shadows. I could see that you could mix the cards together, but didn't appear to have an advantage. Good luck on the next game jam! I can see you have talent for this!

As a brief summary of how my game was planning on implementing the theme through the mechanics...

Shadows are the player's cards, and they would effectively be expendable creatures you can summon to fight and generate resources. They would be inspired by the meaning of shadow in the context of psychology which are basically repressed thoughts.

The alchemy would be integrated as transmutations involving shadows. The player could deconstruct their shadows to collect the resources they generate and then use them for transmutations such as fusing shadows.

Extra Notes
The goal was to create a sort of combination of Magic The Gathering and Slay The Spire. However, I wasn't able to realize that idea. What I have is functional but lacks an objective or any interesting cards. Basically, what I'm submitting is really more of a framework than a game. But I at least wanted to submit what I had rather than drop out entirely after coming this far.
