- I'm not entirely sure what part of the game you expressed was messed up in the description, but from the time I spent playing, there were a few things that made my experience a bit rough to play. The controls were simple to pick up, but I believe there were times I couldn't climb back up the ladders, only go down them. There was one part where I battled a bone-like creature, and after they were defeated, for some reason the player character stopped, started glowing and then 'ascended' and the game paused right after. Even when I was able to defeat some enemies and they dropped items, I didn't really have a chance to see what they would be useful for. It wasn't easy to grasp how the themes were incorporated either. I may have just missed something, or didn't get far enough due to the controls and lack of resources to understand what you were presenting in that aspect. Overall, I'd like to see how the themes would have worked in the game, along with 'better controls' (not to say anything you did here was bad, just hard to play from my own experience). All the same, keep up the hard work.

You play as an alchemist, who strives to become "the greatest". To do this, you must obtain the Philosophers Stone, the ultimate proof of ability. As you venture down further and further, away from the light, you grow paranoid. Bad Alchemy is an dungeon crawler game with emphasis on resource management, forcing you to use your limited weapons wisely.

All 3 of us are first time devs
shadow.elite has published demo projects before but never completed a game.
the other two group members have never made games, and this is their first dev experience.
