  • There was a UI overload at the start. I think slowly filling out the player screen by slowly introducing the UI elements would be much more helpful. The game is very interesting and after some polish, I think it could be really compelling.

Did you include your Game Design Document as a Google Drive link?

Control with Mouse and Left Click (somehow also works on phones)

Mechanics: Buy ingredients, mix up to 4 ingredients into potions and sell them for gold or to aid the Rebel faction.

Story (TLDR): Alchemy is banned except for those with royal favor (you). Rebels wanna take down regime. You can help by giving them potions (Buffs) or not and make a profit.

Has 3 Endings.

Also check the ingame Help button, explains a bit more. My wife missed it and didn't understand much of the game.

GDD has many more details about the game mechanics other stuff.

Extra Notes
I wasn't sure what to do with the Shadow theme. Went with this "working from the shadows for the rebels" thing but I'm not sure it came out as I planned and it doesn't seem obvious.

It's my first game and GameJam in over 10years and learned more in these weeks than in all those years just daydreaming about making games. My previous attempt at it all those years ago didn't go well.

I have to thank Thor and his Tailors for all the inspirational shorts and pants they've been putting out.
