- Good theme interpretation and I can see where you're going with this. Looks like a fun game in the end. Unique art style and nice vibe with the cards. I'm interested to see this in a more finished state of course, but GG on making your game! Keep it up

CONTROLS
The game is mostly controlled entirely by the mouse (later gamepad also), left clicking a card Inspects it, right click and drag or use the scrollwheel to move around the play field, or these instructions.
ENERGY
Alchemy operates on the fundamental principle that all matter is made up of four Primal Energies. Fire, Air, Water, and Earth. By Reducing Resources into these Energies, that Energy can be rearranged to Create new, more complex Resources.
CARDS
Cards are physical Resources (Resources and Energy are not the same thing! The primal energies do have physical forms too!) They are arranged in the playfield in the face down position. Click a card to Inspect it, from which you can add them to the Alchemy Circle for Reduction, or the Crafting Circle for crafting!
Note that some cards will create new cards over time! If you reach Amoeba or Bacteria both of these spawn new resources over time!
ALCHEMY CIRCLE
The Alchemical Circle is used both for Reduction and Creation. To reduce a Resource to its primal energies, Inspect the card, and then click the Alchemy Circle on the left side. BE WARNED, every Circle has loss, early circles' loss is fairly severe, but you will always get at least 1 of every Energy a Resource creates during reduction. There are 4 Circles available Salt (50%), Iron (70%), Silver (80%), and Gold (90%). [Iron Silver and Gold circles are PLANNED]
Creation can be done by selecting the appropriate Resource card on the left side above the Alchemy Circle, and selecting Create. Doing this will reduce your Energy by the Creation cost of the Resource, and will be added to your stock.
CRAFTING CIRCLE
The Crafting Circle creates new Resources from existing Resources directly. These are often cheaper than Creation, but require specific Resource cards. Select the appropriate Resource to Craft by selecting its Card on the right side above the Crafting Circle. If you have the appropriate resources, they will automatically be consumed, and the new Resource will be Crafted.
CLOUDS [PLANNED]
The world that was was scorched, the ecosystem shattered, and you are the last living being trying to claw the world back from the brink with forbidden alchemy. The skies are filled with stormclouds, but the rain never falls. Through your efforts you can cause that Rain to begin falling, making the clouds slowly dissipate, and Sunlight to shine on the world again.
RAIN [PLANNED]
By Creating and Crafting more plants and animals, the heat level rises in the world, causing Rain to fall, and reduce the Clouds in the sky. When that Rain falls it makes the world easier to live in, and all Living resources (Plants and Animals) have the frequency at which they activate their Effects increased.
SUNLIGHT [PLANNED]
As the Clouds are cleared from the sky, Sunlight will start shining through to the ground. This will increase the frequency of Plants Effects, giving you more resources to work with.
CONSUMPTION [PLANNED]
Animal type Resources will need to Consume either Plants or other Animals to sustain themselves, and will either consume an appropriate Resource from time to time, or die and be Destroyed. You can Reduce them before their Consumption is attempted, but not after.
WILT [PLANNED]
Plants need Sunlight to survive. If there isn't enough Sunlight yet in the world, Plants Effects will be suspended. Creating plants that are too complex for the progression level of the game won't as helpful as something more reasonable that can thrive in the planet as it is.
Extra Notes
I wanted to put my instructions in the game itself, and the code is there, however, I was encountering a strange bug with objects skipping their Draw event in the Instructions room. They work if I switch them to the draw GUI event, but I needed them to move. I forced a draw event using event_perform but even then the draw_self just ... refused. No idea why so I removed the access to the room and put them in here. This is my first ever project as a game developer, I know it's rough, and I plan to address some glaring balance issues in the coming weeks once I'm back in the country!
