- First of all, the enemies in this game are TERRIFYING. I'm going to have nightmares! In all seriousness, the enemies are horrifying in a way that adds real tension to the game and puts the player on edge. This is awesome, and I love the way the overall shadowy environment makes it hard for me to see what I'm up against until they're very close. The controls felt simple in this game and I felt like it was easy to move around. My main suggestion is that having more of a health bar that allows for an occasional mistake might make it a little less unforgiving. Since the player can't see the enemy until they're fairly close, close enough to be in the light, at least, it feels really difficult to figure out how to play without just instantly dying the moment the enemy gets close. It would be cool if there was a small health bar to give you one or two chances before ultimately dying to the enemy. Overall, a really interesting game. The jump scare at the first enemy I saw was great! The alchemy theme implementation felt a bit thin, so I would have liked to see that implemented more concretely.

Shadow Strider is a survival puzzle game where the goal is to traverse dark rooms occupied by hostile creatures to progress forward. Through experimentation, trial and error the player will gain the capability and experience to familiarize themselves with the quirks and behavior of the creatures to best get out.
