- This is a cute game. I like the art and the overall movement. I think the one thing lacking was the missing themes. Alchemy wasn't implemented, as you mentioned in your notes, but I also didn't see shadow implemented in a significant way either. I did really like the combot and I think this has a whole lot of potential. I'd love to see more of a tutorial in-game, and maybe a slightly less challenging wave of enemies in the beginning so that the player has enough time to get accustomed to the game mechanics and controls.
Did you include your Game Design Document as a Google Drive link?

Seriously... did you include your Game Design Document?

As a simple summary, over time a bunch of enemies spawn and you gotta kill them with fireballs and ice walls. If your health reaches 0 you die, so you gotta survive a lot of enemies and projectiles. The story is the main character is trapped in book worlds (So far just 1) where monsters of fantasy appear and try to kill her. Controls are WASD to move, left click to shoot fireballs (Can be held), right click to summon ice walls (They have a 5 second cooldown per cast, so use wisely)
Extra Notes
I hope you all enjoy the game as it currently is, otherwise I'd love to hear feedback of ideas of mechanics that sound fun to add. I wasn't able to fit in alchemy in time so I'd like ideas related to that if looking for specific topics to start off of. This is the first time I make a game in 2D on Godot (Mostly by myself when the team I used to have had to leave due to education or work reasons), so I hope to improve with anything I can learn further.
By the end I got help from my friend hailfire to add some final touches or problem-solve issues with enemy collisions, so I added them as an extra member for the time being. So to reiterate, I initially had help from a team to get a game set up before the theme was revealed in order to practice, teammates left, so I had to then continue on my own adding mechanics as I went following tutorials and making all the art myself.
Majority of the art was made in Blender using 3D models that I then exported as 2D images that got turned into spritesheets using a tutorial I found online to do so.
Also, I made all the music and sound effects on FL studio, took some of the free tools to make some tunes. Specifically the sound of the explosion was done on the site jsfxr that says it provides unrestricted commercial use of sounds made with it.
