- This is a cute game. I love that I can control the music and SFX volume from the menu (my ears thank you!) and I like the pixel art for the enemies and avatar. I think the game could benefit from more player control over when attacks happen. It feels difficult to actually evade enemies once they get close, and it seems like being able to either move faster or attack at will would give the player a better chance. Perhaps that could be added and the speed at which those things (attacking or dashing, maybe) are possible could be incorporated in the level up rewards.
Did you include your Game Design Document as a Google Drive link?
Yes... It is linked at the end of the description on the game page.

Midnight Crucible draws heavy inspiration from "Vampire Survivors" for the core game mechanics but will also draw on some elements of “The Binding of Isaac” and early builds of “Hero Siege”
Story
In the heart of the shadowy city of Umbralyn, the Midnight Crucible – an ancient alchemical artifact – has been entrusted to Elara. The Crucible grants incredible power, but it has also drawn the attention of the Shadowbinders, a dark cult intent on harnessing its energy. As the Shadowbinders send their minions to claim the Crucible, Elara must use her alchemical prowess to survive and protect the city from falling into darkness.
Extra Notes
The RNG can be brutal… balancing is hard! I highly recommend turning player death to OFF on the first level up.. You'll lose health but the game over function will never be called!
Game is ~ 5 -7 minutes to win
Thanks!
