- I enjoyed the puzzles and the use of the different lights to reveal hidden messages. The little bits of the story kept me engaged and curious. Good job with what you accomplished and I don't have much to say on how to improve the game. I would love to see more from this game and how the story plays out. I get the changing of lights can be technically alchemy, I feel you could explore that theme a bit more, especially in the puzzles.

Tell us about your game!
Photomorphosis is a side-scroller puzzle game where the color of your light changes your reality. Only one of 5 potential colors have been implemented, but this demo is meant to be a proof of concept. Controls are solely keyboard & mouse as of now.
The overall story, which there are only glimpses of in the demo, follows the player character (as of now unnamed) as they search for knowledge about the Great Work. They are motivated not by riches, like most alchemists, but rather a desire for transmutation of the self; Following clues left by a past adventurer, the player is to unlock the secrets of the Tower before making a choice: to leave their humanity behind and become something Other, or leave with their knowledge and their life knowing the other path has been closed forever.
Extra Notes
This is my first game jam and first major solo game project in general! I thought it would be a good learning experience (and it certainly has been). Also, here's an extra link to the GDD in case it's needed: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1oV3r4VZmLZVEBEbIqLi6DOhTYxMAy2D4LfH5BxQ9JMg/edit?usp=sharing
