  • I can see the shadow theme pretty well, however, I don't see the alchemy theme added other than the potions from the enemies, would like to see a little more of being able to mix potions to heal you and use items in game. The turning battle screen is a little disorientating at first, but I found it pulling me into the game and it was difficult to put down. I'm looking forward to seeing where you take this project!

Genre -
A timer based turn-based RPG. Action speed of characters are determined by delay of attack and speed of the character.

Mechanics -
When time shifts from day to night, you transform from the human form into a werewolf which is far more powerful. Generally just trying to survive or deal a bit of harm as the human from until transforming.

Controls -
Overworld movement ASDW or Arrow Keys.
Equipment button in top left lets you change equipment.
Settings button in top left lets you change volume and combat/dialogue speed.
In battles you select your attack from a list of attacks and can either click on the characters on the screen to do the attack or select the character from the list of targes on the bottom right. When hovering over enemies it'll show the damage done, the delay until your next action and the delay on enemies if applicable.
When hovering over characters you can see what buff/debuffs they have and their duration.

Story -
Read Books to discover snippets of story.
Overall story is you and your wife were kidnapped by alchemists, they were going to kill you since they thought their experiments on you failed. Now freed you try to make your way out of their compound, only after each battle you lose your sanity to the beast inside.
There are 3 possible endings, Good, Bad, Kinda Good.

There's a fast-forward option in the settings, along with volume controls.

I played it in edge, it does not play well in chrome.

Absolutely fascinating combat system. It reminds me a lot of FFX with the way it structured time, but because time literally ticks down, it gives you room to mess around with a lot of different levers. The werewolf thing was an interesting surprise, I was wondering why the world was spinning, and then it became obvious and that was a neat realization. The different attacks based on equipment made me like comparing them. Pretty ambitious for a gamejam to make an RPG, but I think you got the general structure of it down in a way that got my attention!

Thanks! Yea if I had more time I would have liked to put more attacks, different effects in, and balance it more :P.  As it is for the most part it's pretty easy as long as you're equipping gear, until you get to the boss who can kill you lol.
