  • I enjoyed playing this game, and found it easy to get into, however I felt like the replay ability of this game isn't all there just yet. The cycle of farming to crafting potions to laying traps was fun for the first few minutes, and then when you get to the stage where every available place has traps laid with you having extra potions, it feels like there could be a win condition or more stronger enemies.

Tell us about your game!
Simple game about growing crops, brewing potions and using them to hold off enemy waves (by placing them in the X spots on the ground).

The enemies drop seeds that can be used to grow more crops and repeat the process.

Controls:
WASD - movement
E - interact
I - open/close inventory

Took like 20 seconds to figure it out, even with no text or hints or audio, so good job for the simplicity! The potions seemed unreliable, and would sometimes blow up the millisecond the first mob got within 20 feet and only hit 1 thing, while others would wait several seconds for the whole pack to come by. Also not sure if you intended for people to block them with the character but I did do that to ensure the potions went off and killed as many as possible! Once i had filled the garden up fully like 2 or 3 times is when i stopped since it seemed i had unlimited potions :)

Hi, thank you for the feedback. :) Yes, the potion behaviour is very inconsistent because the timer resets everytime another zombie enters the area, the thinking was to not go off just on one zombie but it had the opposite effect and made it feel pretty bad lol The blocking wasn’t intended at first but when I disabled the collisions between the player and the zombie it felt like I removed the only layer of “strategy” in the game haha

So i don't understand the game concept and would think to have some kind of UI text to display to help the player understand or grasp what to do.

Also your GDD has to be a google link not a downloadable file.
