  • Cute art style and the music and sounds fit really well! Would like some checkpoints added, so that you don't have to restart from the very beginning of the game and would like a little more in-game explanation of what you are supposed to do as a player.
  • Very playable game with good audio effects, design and implementation of mechanics. Picking up potions in the game is a weaker connection to the theme, but I'll take it. The level design on where to hide was good. The joke in the retry menu was great haha. Overall very enjoyable game! GG!

Did you include your Game Design Document as a Google Drive link?
Heck yeah

Seriously... did you include your Game Design Document?
What kind of fool do you take me for?

Is your game set to Public so we can see it?
Again, WHAT KIND OF FOOL DO YOU TAKE ME FOR?!

Tell us about your game!
In a dark, heavily guarded castle, specially trained alchemists known as Shadow Benders house hundreds of shadow creatures known as noirdos in cages. The noirdos are used to make powerful potions to fight in the coming war… but one Noirdo is determined to escape before he meets this fate.

The goal is simple - avoid the light and get to the exit. Noirdos cannot be exposed to light or else they will die. This is why the entire dungeon has few torches - but be warned, the guards carry moving light to avoid! Duck and cover whenever you can. The Shadow Benders also seemed to have left some spare elixirs lying around...

Extra Notes
Love your stuff, Thor. And all of PirateSoftware. Seriously. You've inspired me to follow a path that I'm proud of. I know you hear that a lot - so it may not seem like much, but nonetheless, thank you.

Great job! Very clear to understand what you were supposed to do, and starting and playing was easy. However, I struggled a bit to recognize the border between the light and shadow areas. Overall tho, great job!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! I get what you mean about the light border - it was tweaked many times during development and I will prioritize fixing that up. Greatly appreciate any and all feedback provided - I have big ideas for this game and am excited to make a full release at some point.
