  • Game play is smooth, and the implementation of your mechanics is nice. Interesting interpretation of the theme elements, mixing the two torch colours to unlock the door, and the mood being set by the shadowy gloom. Really clever mechanics using the afterimages as the alchemical elements! Artistic style and music are nice, but I feel the environment is a little simplistic and repetitive. It would be cool to maybe see a few more details or obstacles that the player would need to navigate in the shadows and it would add the the environment.

This MVP explores the idea of using afterimages(shadows) as the main mechanic and combining them to solve puzzles(alchemy). Afterimages are created by staring at something long enough while being close enough to it. The afterimage can then interact with other things.

This is quite a unique concept! Afterimages are something we tends to forget exists until it affect you, so using this as a core mechanic would be quite interesting indeed. I hope you can expand this a bit and make it into some levels, and we can truly see what this unique experience can do!

Nicely done and keep up the good work!

Thanks! That means a lot! I was legit laying on my couch staring at a light trying to come up with an idea and when I looked away, boom afterimage haha
