- The tutorial section was really fun, creative, and helpful! The lack of map does pose an interesting challenge, and I felt like the game played quite smoothly. The art style is interesting, but the background is a bit distracting and kind of hard to look at. It does distract from the game itself, so a less contrasted background or less patterned background might be something to try. I really liked the use of the themes, especially the way the elements impacted the environment.

The game is a puzzle platformer where the player cannot see the whole map at once. There are 4 layers to the game and the player needs to keep shifting between different layers to progress.
The player is a robot who finds himself trapped in a matrix of sorts and the goal is to escape. The layers were modelled after the four classical elements: Air, Earth, Fire and Water.
The game also features black holes which teleport the player to different parts of the map. This allowed for some exciting level design opportunities.
Extra Notes
This was my first game jam! This was also the first game I made from scratch myself. Everything from coding to art and music. The theme presented a challenge, but I had a lot of fun coming up with ideas. I had ideas for more levels and mechanics e.g. a fifth element Aether that modifies player behavior but couldn't implement because of time. I might add new features to this game later.
