Judge feedback
Judge feedback is anonymous and shown in a random order.
- The concept sounds fun and the fact that there is an optional introduction in the game is fantastic, however the actual gameplay feels questionable. Certain igredients may be snake oil and the judgement of snake oil is wrong. While checking multiple times to get more information depletes your of points and doesnt make things much more clear. Artistically the game looks very pleasent, though adjusting the functional tabs to the general artstyle (if possible) would make it look more polished.
- There were instructions, but they didn't help instruct me on exactly what to do. Should be a bit more hand-holding for the first task to help the player. No sound effects for anything?

You get given a random potion. Using the potion you are tasked with deciding if it is legal and if it is a real potion.
The potion can be both illegal and snake oil, just one or the other, or neither.
Once you submit your judgement a new potion will spawn and you repeat the process again.
The potion can be tested with various tools, each of which has its own ‘time’ cost, and will reveal a unique aspect about the potion. You combine the information gained from your tools with the information found in your book to figure out a judgement for the potion.
Judging a potion incorrectly will cost time points, but judging correctly will earn time points.
For day one you need to correctly judge 3 potions, for day two this becomes 4, and finally at day three you need to judge 5 potions correctly.
The story elements were supposed to be about you running a store, and choosing if you stock illegal/false potions, however we were unable to complete this part in time and have pivoted to solely the testing aspect of the game. Now you’ve been hired by a boss who needs you to test his potions.
Extra Notes
Our first game, we tried a bit more than we could handle, but managed to lower the scope down to something possible.
