  • I've tried to play the game however I experienced issues with the mouse sensitivity making me motion sick while trying to look up however it spun me in a circle, as well as the first (double) jump seems to be either frame perfect or not possible. I read through your GDD, and it seems that you did not allocate any time for playtesting. I recommend you do that so that next time the game can be played to the full potential that everyone put time into. In regard to everything I could play and access, the animation of the potion throwing, and the sound design of the potions were well put together.
  • Thanks for joining the game jam! Lots of controls in this game. I was worried after reading GDD that I might forget some of them. But you did a good job in-game of teaching the player the most important controls when it was relevant. Text was hard to read, but not impossible. You may want to dial down the pixellation slightly on that. I am sure it was done deliberately for visual effect, but you do want to make sure it is readable - including for people with low vision that struggle with even regular text. Maybe add a setting to toggle perfectly clear text for those that need it. But I think as a default even just slightly less blurry than you have at the moment would help a lot. The game was also very, very dark. I'm in a well-lit room but could barely see where I was going. Possibly that was your intention, but you want to make sure players feel in control and know what is ahead of them :) AS the developer, you know your game intimately. Perhaps try playtesting with some people that have never seen it and simply observe where they get stuck the most (don't help - just observe). Good luck in this jam, and the next!
