- I enjoyed playing the game! Not a fan of the darkness so this game was just right for me :D I liked the idea. The tutorial book was a bit clunky to get through, maybe highlighting the most important things would help. But well done making this game! Thanks and keep making them, I'm looking forward to what you'll make with this one.

Yes
Tell us about your game!
The Echelon Event is a survival horror game where you take on the role of a survivor trying to outrun the spreading darkness. Your goal is to go out and find fuel for your van, maintain the light protecting your group (in this case a fireplace), and find a tunnel exit that you'll need to interact with to destroy the barricade holding you in town.
The controls are as follows:
WASD to move
E (Tap/Hold) to interact with objects/Attack vulnerable enemies
Z to drop held objects
F to bring out your lantern
Left Mouse to brighten your lantern and make enemies vulnerable
The mechanics are as simple as picking up the right object and interacting with the appropriate environmental items. For instance, lumber piles can be put in the fire as fuel, and the gas canister can be used to extract fuel from vehicles OR to put fuel into vehicles/barrels
You can also put fuel in the fire if you're feeling frisky.
Did you remember to include your Game Design Document?
Yes
Is your game set to Public so we can see it?
Yes
Extra Notes
This is a concept that is planned to be built on. The bare mechanics are laid out now but would be reworked and balanced appropriately when the time comes.
