Currently in the game after you plant the mother plant with E on the center platform you can pick up the seeds. Once you open the seed menu you can plant those plants almost anywhere. When they grow they will drop more seeds and allow you to fill the world with more plants. The main appeal of the game in its current state is to just make a pretty world to run around in. There are a total of 5 trees and 3 flowers that you can grow in the world.
